Well, you know what it is like; you’ve been through this many times in your life as a student. You got pile of revision that needs to be done, buried in assignments and at the same time exams are quickly approaching. Then suddenly mum and dad decides to remind you “how exams were hard back in my day”.
This term has been a busy term, not only did I took some time to settle in to this new environment, I was also required to get used to the academic style of a university. It can be hard at times when one or a few assignment deadlines approaching but at some point I felt that pressures can actually be used as a force of motivation and it drives me to complete all my works on time. While completing assignments throughout the course I learned many new skills and were able to use that knowledge and use it practically then develop it further by doing our own research. When I was told that exams were coming up, library became my best friend as I go there approximately every night until it close in order to go through all materials covered in lectures. Although, I believe that everyone hates the process of doing revision, it seems that everyone have also got used of doing it and it turns out to be quite successful in the end because deep down everyone knows that achieve a decent score in a exam will impress the tutor but most importantly you can impress yourself and that is what I call an achievement.
There was an old saying that time flies like an arrow and in my experience it surely did because timetable determines my routine in my everyday life. I go to lectures, finish up class work, meet with friends and go home then sleep. It seems like an unending loop that would continue to an infinite. However, now I can finally take it slow and relax at least a short while this Christmas to reflect on all things learned this term and thanks to all the people that have supported me and encouraged me to go this far.
